Introduction:

Gunnar are committed to delivering the highest quality optics to increase the visual performance of any hard core computer user. After the introduction of their signature Amber Lens Tint in 2008, they immediately began getting requests from the design community. Many creative professionals had found relief from eyestrain while using our Amber product, but had to make a compromise when doing colour correction, video editing, or other tasks that required a true colour rendition. Knowing that the digital art and design community is home to some of the most dedicated computer users in the world, Gunnar set out to find a solution.

Gunnars own in-house design team logs intense, uninterrupted hours in front of the screen, often extending into the night. They volunteered to be in the testing group, along with a panel of dozens of other test subjects, all from the graphic arts, photography, or video professions. After multiple rounds of prototype lenses with various tint and coating combinations, Gunnar are proud to finally present a community tested solution - The Crystalline Lens option.

The Crystalline lens and coating formula is specifically engineered for the graphic designer, video & film editor, or creative visual artist that requires an equally balanced colour spectrum. If your profession does not allow for a shift towards the warmer part of the colour spectrum, with enhanced contrast and reduced HEV, or if your tasks require you to design or work in true colour, then this lens option is for you.
